Itinerary of Morocco Desert Tour 8 Days
Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat – Fez
We leave your accommodation in Casablaca towards Rabat, the capital of Morocco visiting the Oudays Kasbah and the Hassan Tower and continue to the city of Meknes, here you visit the Bab Manssour gate and the Molay Ismail mausoleum and continue to Fez cultural city. Dinner and accommodation in a beautiful riad.
Day 2: Fez
Enjoy an exclusive day exploring the city of Fez with a local guide, you will see all the historical sites of the cultural medina, discovering the mosaic on the doors and visit the old schools, Bouanania, Quarouiyine. Bab bujloud, Dinner and overnight at your hotel.
Day 3: Fez – Merzouga
We will cross the magnificent landscapes of the Middle Atlas and the Ziz valley, then towards Errachidia and Erfoud. We cross a stone desert towards the dunes of Merzouga. Then we ride camels towards the dunes, you will spend a beautiful night there with a Berber music show. Dinner and accommodation in camp.
Day 4: Merzouga – Zagora
After breakfast at the camp, your camel guide will take you to the village of Merzouga. Then we go to Rissani to visit the Mausoleum of Molay Ali Chrif, then we will follow the road to Zagora, we will stop for a nomadic visit in the desert “Hamada” and then we will continue to Zagora to spend the night in a magnificent hotel.
Day 5: Zagora – Mhamid – Chegaga
After breakfast, we leave for the Chegaga dunes. On the way, we stop to visit the city of Tamgroute famous for its ceramics and the Koranic library. Then we will follow the Sahara road in Mhamid. Here we stop in the village for tea, and we leave in a 4×4 towards the dunes of Erg Chegaga where you will enjoy a camel ride and spend the night under the stars in the camp with dinner.
Day 6: Chegaga – Taznzkht – Ourrzazate – Ait ben Haddou – Marrakech
We leave the Chegaga dunes towards Marrakech, we cross the dry lake of Iriqui, and the city of Foum Zguid. We arrive at the Taznakht village known as the capital of Berber carpets, after lunch we continue to the kasbah of Ait ben haddou, from there we cross the High Atlas mountains to arrive at the end of the day at your hotel in Marrakech, dinner and accommodation.
Day 7: Marrakech
After a good breakfast, your local guide will show you the charms of Marrakech. See all the historical monuments such as the Ben Youssef school, the Bahia Palace, the Jewish quarter, the Menara, the Jemaa el Fna square and the Majorelle’s gardens… Dinner and accommodation in your riad.
Day 8: Marrakech Casablanca
We leave the city of Marrakech in the direction of Casablanca and we drop you off at the airport or at your accommodation.
