Day 1: Fez – Ifrane – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga Dunes
5 Days Fes Merzouga Marrakech, The departure from the Riad/Hotel will be at 8 Am. The trip to Erg Chebbi sand dunes will last 8 hours in which we will see the Atlas Mountains and some villages (Erfoud and Rissani). We will stop in some cities like Ifrane and Azrou to enjoy the view of the cedar woods and monkeys living there. The lunch will be served in Midelt and then we will keep going through the Ziz valley with a beautiful view of the palm trees until we arrive to Erg Chebbi where we will do camel trek to reach the desert camp to spend the night in a Berber tent.
Day 2 : Erg Chebbi Merzouga Desert
The morning we will ride camels early to enjoy the view of sunrise, the destination will be the hotel to have breakfast and a shower. Then we will explore the nomad living and see many small villages like (Merzouga, Hassi Labied and also Khamlia) we’ll drive for 60 kilometers. During the afternoon you can enjoy swimming in a local hotel’s swimming pool surrounded by beautiful view of sand mountains.
Day 3 : Erg Chebbi Rissani Todra Gorges
After having breakfast, we will drive through the black desert (Hamada) to reach Rissani and Erfoud the city of the fossils where we will visit a fossil workshop before visiting Todra Valley, the favorite place for the rock climbers. We will trek there before going to the hotel where we are going to have dinner and to spend the night.
Day 4 : Todra Gorges Dades Valley Skoura Ouarzazate
We will start our day by having breakfast at the hotel, then we continue the trip through many old Kasbahs and the rock region of Dades Valley where nomads still live in caverns. We will spend some time with one of these families that are still living a simple life to know more about their culture. Next, we will visit the rose valley known for planting and making organic products from roses to reach Skoura palm groves. 45 km drive to Ouarzazate where we will spend the night in a local hotel.
Day 5 : Ouarzazate Ait Benhaddou High Atlas Marrakech
Our adventure will begin after breakfast; we will start by visiting cinema studios in Ouarzazate (The African Hollywood). Then we are going to visit the all-inclusive Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou Kasbah as it has been named by Unesco in 1987. More than 20 movies including “Gladiator” ” Alexander” “Indiana Jones” and “Lawrence of Arabia” were filmed in that fortified city. We drive to Marrakech by taking the road through the High Atlas Mountains and Tizi n’tichka pass and we’ll have lunch in the center of the Atlas Mountains before arriving to your riad or hotel in Marrakech.
