Morocco desert tours packages are organized trips that bundle a private vehicle and driver, hotels or riads, and desert experiences such as a camel trek and a night in a desert camp. They run from 2 to 15 days and start in Marrakech, Fes, Casablanca or Tangier. Prices depend on the number of travelers, hotel categories, duration and inclusions, so each quote is built for your group.
The Sahara in Morocco is not one landscape but three: towering orange dunes at Erg Chebbi, remote open sand at Erg Chigaga, and the moon-like stone plains of Agafay just outside Marrakech. Add Berber hospitality, mud-brick kasbahs and old caravan routes, and a desert trip becomes a journey through the country's culture as much as its scenery.
We are a local operator, so the people who plan your Morocco desert tours package are also the people who drive and guide it.

Choosing the desert comes first, because it decides how many days you need and how far you drive.
| Desert | Landscape | Best for | Time needed from Marrakech |
|---|---|---|---|
| Merzouga (Erg Chebbi) | Large, classic orange sand dunes with many camps | First-time visitors, camel treks, sunrise and sunset photos | 3 days minimum; 4–6 days is more relaxed |
| Erg Chigaga (near Zagora and M'Hamid) | Remote, wide dune field reached by 4x4 tracks | Quiet, off-the-beaten-path desert nights and stargazing | 3–4 days |
| Agafay Desert | Rocky, moon-like stone desert with Atlas views | Short breaks, couples, families, activities such as quad biking | 2 days, about 40 minutes from the city |

Three days is the practical minimum to reach the Merzouga dunes and return, with long driving days. Four to six days is more relaxed and adds Dades Valley, Todra Gorge and more time in the dunes. For a short break without long drives, choose a 2-day Agafay overnight.
Erg Chebbi, near Merzouga, is the most accessible and popular dune field with a wide range of camps. Erg Chigaga, near M'Hamid El Ghizlane, is more remote and less crowded and is reached by 4x4 over desert tracks, giving a quieter and more authentic desert feel.
