Your driver-guide takes you south into the High Atlas Mountains to Imlil, the village at the foot of Mount Toubkal (4,167 m), the highest peak in North Africa. A gentle guided walk follows mule paths through walnut and apple orchards and terraced Berber villages.
Lunch is served the Berber way — in a local family home or guesthouse, often on a sunny terrace facing the mountains.
Afternoon & evening: the Agafay Desert camp
In the afternoon you drive down to the Agafay Desert and check in to a luxury desert camp with a pool, lounges and comfortable tents. As the light turns gold, set off on a camel ride across the stony hills, or trade the camel for a quad bike for something faster.
